Big girl Lily

Lily now weighs 10lbs., what a big girl. She is starting interact w/ people a lot now. She will watch you as you walk past her. I feel like she is growing up so fast. In about a week she'll be TWO months old...goodness, time needs to slow down. She loves to be swaddled. In fact, most of the day she wants to be swaddled and sleep in her swing. So far Lillian is much calmer, then baby Nolan. But, we'll see I am sure as she gets a little older, she will start needing me more (hopefully). Right now she normally just "needs" me when she is hungry. This the way she normally looks during the day.

Since I started watching Kaiya again Nolan and I don't get as much time together. And when she leaves I am normally tired and I still have to clean and make dinner. Well today, she left early. It was nice just to hang out with my baby. Lily was napping (so far she is very good at this, she loves her swing), and Nolan wanted to go outside. He is such a character. When he sees my camera he says "cheese", and then he wants to see the picture. I love his cheese face. He is so very precious to me!! I love my baby!

Riding w/ Evan

So as cute as these pictures are, I think it may be a little while before Nolan gets to ride again. There was a little crash that about scared Mommy to death and every time I look at these pictures I think of it. Thankfully neither were hurt too bad. I love how they are both concentrating so hard, neither one of them has a smile. We have some cute kids in our family. :)

Lily update

Lily is doing good. She is growing so fast. My poor baby has what I am assuming is baby acne. She bumps all over her face and around her neck. I don't remember Nolan having anything like this. From what I've read it normally disappears by 4-6 months. That seems like a long time to me. But, I guess as long as it doesn't bother her, everything is ok.

I took these pictures the other day. I think it is crazy that she looks so different in every picture I take. The bottom two look a lot like what she really looks like. I don't think the top two look like her at all. But she is still cute in every picture! :) I am in love!

She smiles!

For the past couple of days I have been seeing a small little smile from Lily. I remember it took Nolan a little longer (compared to other babies)to smile, so I have been just thinking it is my imagination. But, tonight I am sure that she smiled at me. Oh goodness, I forgot what a beautiful thing the first smiles are. She is beautiful anyway, but when she smiles, she is gorgeous! I cannot wait to capture it in a picture so everyone can see.

So much for only waking up once a night

Miss Lily has decided she misses mommy during the night and wants to see her twice again. As long as she falls back asleep quickly, I am ok w/ this. But, it kind of stinks after her going a week or so only waking up once. I shouldn't complain though, she still sleeps really good (at night, during the day is a different story).

Nolan loves his sissy

Every time I start to take a picture of Lily, Nolan comes over and starts loving on her. What a blessing it is that he cares about her so much. He loves giving her kisses and rarely appears jealous.

1 Month Old!

This month has went by too fast. My baby is growing up and getting so big. We went to the doctor for a weight check today and she weighs 8lbs. 14oz. What a big girl. She is in the 50th percentile, when she was born she was around the 25th.
She has always been an alert baby (Nolan was too), but I can tell that she is starting to really notice the things around her. She is a pretty good sleeper. I think that it is just taking me awhile to figure out how she likes to sleep. Oh last night, she only woke up 1 time to eat. Of course, she didn't want to go back to sleep after she ate, but still 1 time is fantastic.
Overall, life feels just perfect. Nolan loves his sister, and loves to "help" take care of her. I feel like I am adjusting very well, and our family feels like it is getting into a nice groove. I love my life! :)

Sleeping, is that all I talk about...

We have offically moved to our own room again. It was much harder for me to do w/ Lily than it was when Nolan was a baby. I am not sure why, I just felt really guilty about it. Although I miss being in the room with her, she is sleeping so much better, and so am I. So I guess it was worth it. Last night she slept 5 hours straight, which was great. And Tyler has been doing the first feeding. This lets me sleep, which I am so happy about. She has been doing so much better falling back to sleep at night. She does so well at night. I hope that this isn't a short-lived moment, but I pretty sure that once the newborn stage is over things will change.
She is growing so fast. I cannot believe she'll be one month old tomorrow. I am excited to see how much she weighs.
