Year 2011 Apr.-May

April
Lily turned 2 years old this year. Sweet baby girl! She is our sunshine and smile. For her birthday we went to the park. I think that every person that was there pushed her at least once on the swings. It was a beautiful day and many people came to show their love for Miss Lily. For her actually birthday we took the day off and went to Deanna Rose Farmstead and Pizza Street (the kids favorite!). We had lots of fun!! Thank you Lord for my sweet baby girl.

May
Not too big this month. K turned 2 months old. He seems so big this month. Once he started smiling and laughing this month, he has not stopped! Such a happy boy.

Beautiful flower on our rose bush. When seen a couple two toned flowers on it this year.

Year 2011 Jan.-Mar.

What a beautiful year it has been . My goodness our family is so blessed!
January
Big snow storm. The kids got all bundled up to go play outside. Lily took one step out the door. Then she back turned around and wanted no part of it. Tyler and Nolan had lots of fun. Me and Lily made chocolate and lemonade snow ice cream!

February
Lily got her first of many black eyes. We eagerly waited to meet our sweet baby.
March
We welcomed sweet baby Kason into our family March1st. I said from the moment I found out our due date, there is no way I'll make it to March. I just knew for sure this baby would be a February baby. God has a beautiful way of humbling us. I was induced one day before my due date. What an experience that was. Much different than my other two. I remember saying a couple times, "This is kind of boring." I felt little pain expect for getting my IV, that was not fun! Kason was my biggest at 7lbs. 8oz. Was not surprised at all that he was a boy. I think I need a whole other post about this, lots more details!

1 Year!

It has been one year since my last post. Oh my what a year it has been. Full of many many blessings.
  • At Nolan's birthday party last year we announced that we were expecting a baby.
  • Miss Kaiya left our family and moved on to big girl school
  • We welcomed Maks into our home and have enjoyed getting to know him
  • We found out the we'll be getting a new cousin very soon. We cannot wait to meet sweet baby Jude! He is 5 weeks older than Kason. So fun, I hope they grow up best buds.
  • I can an incredibly easy pregnancy and birth of our sweet baby Kason. We call him Mr.K most of the time. He has a beautiful smile that lights up the room! He is 5 1/2 months old now. Started crawling at the end of 4 months. He is growing so fast, too fast! He just got his first tooth. Super cute!
  • Lily turned 2. She basically potty trained herself in a day or two a few weeks after she turned two. She has turned into a smart, sweet and beautfiul little girl, with a little drama thrown in for good measure. She has started "school" with me while Nolan is in preschool. She is getting to be fantastic memorizing scripture.
  • Nolan has since turned 4. He started preschool, Monday & Wednesdays, August 15. He loves it! He is loves all things electronics. He got a Nintendo DS for his birthday and wants to play it every moment. When he is not playing that he wants to watch Star Wars. Oh my...
God has blessed our family so abundantly. We are blown up away daily by the fullness of our life! Hopefully it doesn't take year for me to make another post.

Nolan's 3!

Nolan celebrated his 3rd birthday with a fun Toy Story party. I think he picked out his theme around Lily's birthday (in April). He had tons a fun! There were so many people there to show him love. Birthdays get more fun every year!
It is probably going to be hard to list all the things I want to remember here but I am going to try a few.

  • When he is praying (and sometimes he'll say it to me too), he says "God, I love you so good." and of course it is not nearly as cute when I write it out. But, I hope to be able to remember the way it sounds always.

  • He cannot say octopus, it is optagon. It's too cute to correct.

  • He now will be get dressed (and undressed and dressed again about a 10 times a day) all by himself. I don't think I was ready for this. It not something I taught him, he figured it out on his own. But, it really does help on busy mornings.

  • He shares very well. He always wants to make sure there is enough for Sissy, and Mommy, and Daddy.

  • He just started his new preschool class at church on Sundays and Wednesdays. No more nursery. Very emotional for Mommy, I cried a little after dropping him off.

  • He has started saying the prayer at meal times.  It goes something like this, "God I love you so good. Thank you for Daddy, watch over him at work, (something about make him stronger). Thank you for this food. Jesus, amen!"
I am sure there is so much more that I cannot think of right now. Nolan makes me fall in love with him more and more every day. He also makes me go crazy a few times a day too. I would not change one thing about my sweet boy. I am so excited to see what God has in store for his life!

And the Big finale present!

"Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him." Psalm 127:3

Painting

Lily doesn't really get the concept of painting yet. She thinks that is something very colorful to eat. But she is learning that is doesn't taste very good. Nolan takes his paintings very serious. And they are always for Daddy to take to work.

Father's Day

Our three year tradition has been to go to a playground at Smithville Lake for Father's Day. We have a picnic dinner and then play. Lots of fun. It is great to look back through the pictures and see how much they have grown. It was a beautifully blessed day!
