New Pictures!
I feel like I have been so lazy with Nolan's blog lately (and with my camera). Well today was Kaiya's birthday, so I had to get my camera out. And boy, it felt good to take pictures again. Here are just a few from today. Now, these are totally out of focus but I love them. They truly show Nolan's personality. There are more pictures to come later!

11 weeks!
I am feeling very good lately. Only the occasional sick feeling, which is wonderful! We were so excited to hear the baby's heartbeat this week, I can still hear it in my mind. When I look at Nolan, he is so wonderful, I just cannot imagine how my heart is going to be able to contain the love of another baby. We already love this child so much, but I know that when he/she comes the love with be so much more. I look foward to the day when Nolan gets to meet his little brother or sister. I cannot believe it is already been 11 weeks. That is crazy to me, time is flying by.
Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

Woosh!Woosh!Woosh!
That's what we got to hear yesterday!!! We were so excited. I was sure that it would be too early to hear, but it was a very strong heartbeat. I forgot to ask how many beats per minute, but it really didn't matter to me.
We go back at the end of October, then November 17th is our ultrasound date. :) I wonder what the baby will be, guess we'll have to wait and see!
Also, I am feeling good this morning, but it changes throughout the day. Hopefully, I am almost over the all-day sickness.

10 Weeks!
I will be 10 weeks tomorrow (Thursday)! My goodness the time is going by so quickly. I guess that it helps that Nolan keeps me very busy all the time. I am feeling ok this week, just getting over being sick. We have a doctors appointment on Monday Sept. 22. They said that we might get to hear the heartbeat. I hope so!
Today, Nolan was so cute. Tyler was leaving for work and he kissed Nolan and my belly. Then Tyler said "Baby". Nolan looked a little confused at first, but then he pointed to my belly. Then I said "Baby" and he pointed at my belly. It was so very cute. He'll be a wonderful big brother!
How your baby's growing:Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature. He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy. If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.

To the Orchard! *Updated*
Hehe! We went to a farm today with our friend Tiffany. We picked apples, and they were very tasty. Nolan really enjoys being outside, so he loved it there. We all had a really good time. Tiffany has the pictures, so if she sends them to me I will posts some. :)
Today...
I am feeling so much better. I am getting over my cold and actually have a lot of energy. My stomach gets alittle sick every once in a while, but over all I am doing very well.
To the Circus! *Updated*
We took Nolan to the circus last night. He loved it!! He watched it almost the entire time. Tyler and I really enjoyed it too. We had popcorn and cotton candy and Nolan got a new shirt. It is a little big for him now but I am sure he will grow into it sooner than I would like. I will post pictures of him in his new shirt later.

9 weeks!
I am doing pretty good. I am actually feeling better this morning. I hope it lasts!
How your baby's growing:Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

13 Months...
Nolan just gets cuter and cuter everyday!
This is what he is doing now:
- Nolan has started walking very well. He tries to walk now more than he is crawling.
- Figured out how to open the safety gates and climbs the steps as fast as possible because he knows it's a no no.
- Can color with chalk, but stills tries to color himself more than the driveway.
- Puts toys in things and then takes them out. It is really nice when he puts things back where they belong.
- He does not like potatoes. What is up with that? He likes almost all food, but spits out any form of potato.
I'm sure there is a ton of other things that he is doing but I cannot think of them right now.

Sick! Sick!
So, as I have already said in previous posts, I am really feeling nauseous with this baby. Everything provokes it, the smell of food, sight of food, even thoughts about food. Practically everything makes me sick.
Well, you can imagine what it would be like to be puked on, while feeling this nauseous. Yes, that's right, Nolan was sick yesterday. He threw up all over me. I am so surprised that I was able to control myself. Luckily, he is feeling much better. And hopefully I'll be feeling well soon too.
Yes, I realize that this is a gross post, but I am sure there will be more to come. :)

8 weeks!
I will be 8 weeks on Thursday. I am a lot sicker this time around. I really do not remember being this nauseous with Nolan. I am usually on the couch or eating, if I do much else I get sick. This is a development tracker on babycenter.com. I think that I like these better than my baby pictured as a fruit.
How your baby's growing: New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.
