1st Dr. Appointment

While the appointment itself was not that interesting, it got both Tyler and me very excited about the baby! The nurse said that I am measure about 7 weeks, right where I am supposed to be. She said the babies due date is April 17, 2009. She also said that the next appointment we will get to hear the baby's heartbeat, cannot wait!!

Nolan at One year

My baby boy is a toddler. Is that possible? I cannot explain how blessed I feel to have been able to spend almost every moment the past year with my son. Wow, that was a long sentence, sorry! Anyway, he is so incredible but I am sure you already know that.
So much has changed about Nolan in the past month. He smiles so much now. He always used to smile, but it is different now. He knows that we like it when he smiles and does it to make us happy (at least that what I tell myself). He can just make my heart melt with one coy smile!!

So what else is he doing:

• Loves to play peek-a-boo!


• Eats anything you put in front of him, unless it is his b-day cake :)


• He has started walking, nowhere near consistently, but he can do it!!


• Drinks from a straw sippy cup, but still will not tilt a regular sippy


• Loves to play with Libby. He teases her with her toys


• Throws balls and swing bats (Daddy likes this one)

He understands so much that we say to him. A few examples include: Ball-he will start looking for a ball, No-He hears this a lot, Libby and Jax-will start looking for them.

One year stats:
Weight: 20.8 lbs.
Length: 30 3/4 in.
Head Circumference: 18 1/4 in.

I cannot imagine what the next year has in store for us but I am sure it will be a lovely adventure!

7 weeks!

I'll be seven weeks on Thursday, but I'm sure I'll be busy that day so I'm posting this early. This a brief description of how large the baby is and what is happening. So exciting!!


















Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about 100 new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.

My First Post!

Yea!!! Are we really having another baby? Well, my morning sickness sure tells me we are. Oh and the positive test!!
We are so very excited and praying for a healthy strong baby. I look forward to posting a lot more here so stay tuned! :)

My Big Boy's First Haircut

So, the day didn't start off very good yesterday. He woke up crying and spent most of the morning crying. We laid him down at 8:30 knowing that he needed a little rest before his 10:30 haircut. Well, at about 9:15, he starts crying (we are still not sure if slept at all). I was certain that he was going to scream the entire time we were there. Well, he proved me wrong. He didn't cry once. Thank goodness!! He is such a big boy, and so cute with his new haircut.

Nolan's B-Day Party!!

It will be lots of fun...I have probably said this a 100 times but, I cannot believe he is turning 1 soon. Crazy!!

Nolan loves waffles

Whenever Nolan eats anything, he thinks that he has to have it all in his mouth. With waffles he does a little better, sometimes he will tear off a piece to eat. But, he is so cute when he feeds himself.

There is fun family entertainment center in Lee's Summit that we went to when Jalynn & Nan came to visit. We all had lots of fun!
